When your hormones are out of balance they can cause all types of disruptions throughout your body that will lead to the appearance of acne in various places. People don’t understand exactly how this is, but it does make sense seeing as how most young kids under 12 years old, don’t end up suffering from acne outbreaks. To help you get more of an understanding on why this happens, here are the two main reasons why your body begins to produce acne.
Hormones cause the growth of oil glands and the skin:
Before most people hit the age of puberty their body has not yet begun to produce hormones that produce much oil, but as they hit puberty the oil-producing hormones become very active which is the reason why acne outbreaks occur in most people’s teenage years. Some of these imbalances can remain well past the teenage years, which is why hormone regulating drugs are often prescribed to people who suffer severe acne as adults.
The stronger the imbalance the worse the outbreak:
You see people suffering through various stages of acne, for some people the acne is very mild and easily controlled, but others get acne that is so severe it must be treated immediately. These are usually the people that suffer from extreme hormonal imbalances their body just can’t seem to get it under control. A dermatologist will offer certain types of prescription drugs to treat the most severe cases, but usually a little time is all that’s needed to get over the initial rush of hormones throughout the body that cause severe acne.
